Job summary

Daikin is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer I to support the design and implementation of air handling unit components and related engineering documentation. You will ensure products meet quality, manufacturability, and performance requirements while providing engineering support to manufacturing operations.

You will manage engineering documentation updates, release work orders, and maintain accurate manufacturing information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in mechanical/product design.
• English level: Intermediate.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop components and assemblies for air handling units per specifications and quality standards.
• Create, release, and distribute engineering work orders and related technical documentation for manufacturing.
• Update drawings and product documentation reflecting approved engineering changes.
• Support cross-functional teams with engineering documentation and design inquiries.
• Monitor production projects to identify design, quality, and manufacturability concerns.
• Initiate and track nonconformities, supporting documentation and resolution.
• Identify and report tooling, equipment, and process issues affecting quality, cost, or production.

The Mechanical Design Engineer I supports the design and implementation of air handling unit components and related engineering documentation, ensuring products meet quality, manufacturability, and performance requirements. This role provides engineering support to manufacturing operations, manages engineering documentation updates, and contributes to the resolution of product and production issues.

• Design and develop components and assemblies for air handling units in accordance with engineering specifications, manufacturability requirements, and company quality standards.
• Create, release, and distribute engineering work orders and related technical documentation to support manufacturing operations.
• Update work orders, drawings, and product documentation to reflect approved engineering changes and maintain accurate manufacturing information.
• Support cross-functional teams by providing assistance and follow-up on engineering documentation, design requirements, and product-related inquiries.
• Monitor products and projects during the production process to identify and communicate design, quality, and manufacturability concerns.
• Initiate and track nonconformities, supporting the documentation and resolution of product and process issues.
• Identify and report tooling, equipment, and manufacturing process issues that may impact product quality, cost, or production performance.
