Daikin is seeking a Sustaining Engineer to provide technical support for HVAC products in production or customer use, ensuring performance, quality, and availability. You will coordinate with manufacturing, quality, service, and production teams to sustain and extend product life, reduce costs, and ensure operation continuity.

Responsibilities include creating 3D models and 2D drawings in Inventor, validating CAD changes, applying DFM principles, and managing BOMs within the PLM system.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Mechatronics engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience with CAD applications.
• Mechanical design / product design experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD 2D (intermediate).
• Autodesk Inventor 2D & 3D (basic).
• Experience with Autodesk Vault.
• Intermediate English.

Responsabilidades

• Develop 3D models and 2D production drawings using Autodesk Inventor under supervision.
• Verify CAD design changes before review by supervisor/reviewer.
• Develop and design new/existing 3D models based on DFM (design for manufacturability).
• Create and manage CAD drawings with BOMs in PLM system.
• Modify and revise designs to address operational deficiencies or production issues.
• Manage CAD-related problem-solving and tasks.

The sustaining engineer is responsible for providing technical support for HVAC products in production or in use by customers, ensuring their performance, quality, and availability. They manage design improvements, engineering changes (ECR/ECO), technical troubleshooting, and coordination with departments such as manufacturing, quality, service, and production. Their goal is to maintain and extend the product’s service life, reduce costs, and ensure operational continuity.

• Under the direction of the engineering supervisor, develop 3D models and 2D production drawings/designs using Autodesk Inventor.
• Verify changes to engineering CAD designs before they are reviewed by the reviewer/supervisor.
• Under the direction of the engineering supervisor, develop and design new and existing 3D models based on DFM (design for manufacturability).
• Pay attention to detail when creating new CAD designs and working with bills of materials.
• Create bills of materials from 3D CAD models using the PLM system.
• Modify and revise designs to correct operational deficiencies or reduce production issues.
• Manage problem-solving and tasks related to CAD.

1. Education Level: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience in Engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, et.)
2. 2 to 4 years of experience with CAD applications.
