Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. busca un Mecánico de Decoración para mantener, reparar y diagnosticar equipos de decorado en un entorno de manufactura de alta velocidad.

El candidato debe asegurar la continuidad del proceso y gestionar el mantenimiento preventivo de maquinaria crítica. Se valorará experiencia previa con equipos de decoración/impresión y capacidad para trabajar en equipo, siguiendo normas de seguridad y calidad.

Qualifications

• Diploma de secundaria o equivalente; certificación técnica o grado asociado preferible.
• Experiencia como mecánico en entornos de manufactura, preferible con equipo de decorado.

Responsibilities

• Mantenimiento preventivo de decoradores, coaters y equipos relacionados, con limpieza, lubricación y reemplazo de piezas.
• Diagnosticar y solucionar problemas mecánicos, neumáticos e hidráulicos.
• Realizar reparaciones y ajustes para mantener alta eficiencia y calidad.
• Apoyar cambios de equipo y configuración para distintas producciones.
• Colaborar con producción y control de calidad para resolver incidencias.
• Mantener registros de mantenimiento, reparaciones y piezas.
• Cumplir protocolos de seguridad, incl. Lockout/Tagout.
• Identificar mejoras en equipos y procesos.
• Formar y asesorar a mecánicos más jóvenes.

Job Summary:

The Decorating Shop Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of decorating equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on decorators, coaters, and related equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on decorating machinery.
• Execute repairs and adjustments to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency and quality standards.
• Assist with equipment changeovers and setup for different product runs.
• Collaborate with production and quality control teams to address and resolve equipment-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout.
• Identify and recommend improvements to equipment and processes.
• Train and mentor junior mechanics as needed.

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate's degree in a mechanical or industrial maintenance field preferred.
• Proven experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably with decorating equipment (e.g., can decorating, printing presses).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficiency with various hand and power tools.
• Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Basic electrical knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.
