Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. busca un/a Mecánico/a de Decorado para garantizar el funcionamiento óptimo de la maquinaria en procesos de decoración y acabado en la planta.

La posición requiere experiencia en mantenimiento de equipos industriales y capacidad de trabajar en equipo para apoyar a los mecánicos líderes. El rol implica realizar mantenimientos preventivos, resolver fallas y colaborar con producción para minimizar interrupciones, cumpliendo normas de seguridad y calidad.

Qualifications

• Técnico o formación equivalente en mecánica o mantenimiento industrial.
• Mínimo 3 años de experiencia como mantenedor/a en entornos de manufactura.
• Experiencia deseable con maquinaria de decoración (serigrafía, tampografía, rociado).
• Capacidad de lectura e interpretación de manuales, planos y esquemas.
• Conocimientos en neumática e hidráulica; manejo seguro de herramientas.

Responsibilities

• Mantenimiento preventivo de maquinaria de decoración (prensas, rociadores, hornos y equipos de etiquetado).
• Diagnosticar y solucionar problemas mecánicos, neumáticos e hidráulos.
• Realizar reparaciones y cambios de componentes para minimizar paradas.
• Conducir cambios de equipo y preparaciones según el plan de producción.
• Colaborar con equipos de producción para resolver ineficiencias.
• Documentar actividades de mantenimiento y repuestos usados.
• Cumplir con protocolos de seguridad y bloqueo/etiquetado.
• Mantener área de trabajo limpia y ordenada.
• Participar en la formación de operadores.

Job Summary**

Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimal functioning of machinery and equipment used in the decoration and finishing processes within the manufacturing facility.

Job Responsibilities**

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on deco machinery, including but not limited to presses, sprayers, ovens, and labeling equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues in deco equipment.
• Execute repairs, replacements, and adjustments of machine components to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime.
• Conduct equipment changeovers and setups according to production schedules and specifications.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve operational inefficiencies related to machinery.
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used accurately and completely.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist in the training of production operators on basic machine operation and troubleshooting.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment performance and reliability.

Job Qualifications**

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical degree in mechanics, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven experience with decorative machinery (e.g., silk screen, pad printing, spray coating equipment) is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and controls is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
