Yanfeng is seeking a Materials Planner in Mexico to manage material requirements with suppliers, ensuring material availability for uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

You will analyze supplier releases, review inventory coverage, and collaborate with Inventory Analysts to resolve discrepancies while mitigating supply risks. The role emphasizes proactive communication with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Formación

• Experience in materials planning or supply chain roles.

Responsabilidades

• Process and analyze supplier releases.
• Review material coverage considering on-hand inventory, in-transit shipments, and production requirements.
• Work closely with Inventory Analysts to resolve inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Customer Service teams to communicate potential supply impacts or demand changes to suppliers and ensure timely resolution.
• Identify and communicate risks related to line stoppages, material shortages, expedited shipments, and other supply chain issues.
• Develop and maintain PFEP (Plan for Every Part) documentation.
• Ensure suppliers deliver materials on time, in the correct quantities, and with accurate ASN information.

The Materials Planner is responsible for managing material requirements with suppliers through the use of inventory control systems and planning tools, minimizing the risk of production disruptions and ensuring material availability to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

• Process and analyze supplier releases.
• Review material coverage considering on-hand inventory, in-transit shipments, and production requirements.
• Work closely with Inventory Analysts to resolve inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate proactively with Customer Service teams to communicate potential supply impacts or demand changes to suppliers and ensure timely resolution.
• Identify and communicate risks related to line stoppages, material shortages, expedited shipments, and other supply chain issues.
• Develop and maintain PFEP (Plan for Every Part) documentation.
• Ensure suppliers deliver materials on time, in the correct quantities, and with accurate ASN (Advance Shipping Notice) information.

Additional Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain planning parameters for new part numbers.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions or arrange special transportation when necessary to prevent production impacts.
• Follow up on DMRs (Discrepant Material Reports).
• Participate in annual physical inventory activities.
• Support departmental initiatives and other assigned responsibilities as needed.
