HUBBELL PRODUCTS MEXICO in Toluca seeks a Buyer Planner to manage material planning, purchasing, and inventory to meet customer demand while supporting uninterrupted manufacturing.

You will coordinate with Planning, Production, Logistics, and Customer Service, manage SAP POs, and optimize Make-to-Stock and Make-to-Order flow while maintaining accurate lead times and stock levels.

Advanced English and a related degree are required, with strong Excel and forecasting skills valued.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Advanced English required; strong communication skills in English.

Responsabilidades

  • Plan material requirements and execute purchasing activities based on business demand.
  • Monitor and follow up on material deliveries between manufacturing plants to ensure on-time availability.
  • Provide accurate delivery updates and lead-times information to the Customer Service team.
  • Expedite critical materials to minimize production and customer service disruptions.
  • Manage and monitor Backlog and Past Due orders, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Plan and procure materials for both Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO) products.
  • Create, release, and follow up on Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP with suppliers and supplying plants.
  • Maintain accurate planning parameters in SAP, including delivery dates, Lead Times, Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ).
  • Collaborate with Planning, Production, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to ensure objectives are achieved.

Position Summary

The Buyer Planner is responsible for planning, purchasing, and monitoring material availability to ensure customer demand is met on time while maintaining optimal inventory levels and supporting uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan material requirements and execute purchasing activities based on business demand.
  • Monitor and follow up on material deliveries between manufacturing plants to ensure on-time availability.
  • Provide accurate delivery updates and lead‑time information to the Customer Service team.
  • Expedite critical materials to minimize production and customer service disruptions.
  • Manage and monitor Backlog and Past Due orders, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Plan and procure materials for both Make‑to‑Stock (MTS) and Make‑to‑Order (MTO) products.
  • Participate in problem‑solving meetings with sister plants to resolve supply chain issues and improve material flow.
  • Manage excess and obsolete inventory, identifying opportunities to optimize inventory levels.
  • Create, release, and follow up on Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP with suppliers and supplying plants.
  • Maintain accurate planning parameters in SAP, including delivery dates, Lead Times, Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ), and other purchasing data.
  • Collaborate closely with Planning, Production, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to ensure operational objectives are achieved.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Language Requirements
  • Advanced English (required).
Technical Knowledge
  • Demand Planning.
  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Inventory Management.
  • SAP (Planning and Purchasing modules preferred).
  • Forecasting.
  • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
  • Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO) planning.
  • Inventory control methodologies (ROP, Safety Stock, and ABC Classification).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel.
