Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Sr IT Project Management Specialist to lead IT for Maquiladora processes, including IMMEX, PROSEC, and Maquila schemes. You will collaborate with foreign trade and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with customs, tax, and fiscal regulations while guiding IT projects from planning to delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field is required.
• 7+ years of IT experience supporting customs docs audits, Non-Tariff Regulations and legal interpretation.
• Experience with IMMEX, PROSEC, or Maquila schemes is required.
• Knowledge of import/export processes, trade regulations, international treaties, and Incoterms.
• Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with trade management software (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Fluent English (verbal and written). Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute IT project strategies aligned with business objectives for Maquiladora programs.
• Manage planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects within scope, time, and budget.
• Collaborate with foreign trade team to ensure compliance with customs, tax, and fiscal requirements.
• Provide support for daily customs operations activities.
• Review customs law reforms and coordinate with Tax, Legal, Fiscal, and Production to ensure due diligence.
• Monitor strategies to comply with regulatory reforms at federal, state, and international levels.
• Drive process improvements to ensure compliance with customs and export controls.
• Coordinate with application vendors to stay current on functionality and versions.
• Provide data-driven insights to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
• Conduct IT assessments, risk analysis, and mitigation strategies.
