Hubbell Incorporated in the Chihuahua region of Mexico seeks an on-site systems/manufacturing engineer to support capital projects and new product development, driving efficiency and cost savings across production lines.

This role blends traditional systems engineering with manufacturing engineering, requiring 5+ years of post-graduate experience, bilingual Spanish/English, and strong communication and project management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support BU manufacturing projects and on-site systems.
• Improve manufacturing system design and efficiency to reduce cost.
• Apply lean manufacturing methodologies to processes.
• Create production work instructions and support QC plan for new products.
• Maintain material master, BOMs and routers in SAP for new/revised materials.
• Process EC requests and maintain router times; manage 3 day queue for ECRs.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and evaluate new technologies.

The purpose of this position is to support the Business Unit as the on-site representative for manufacturing projects and manufacturing/production systems support. This position combines the responsibilities of a traditional systems engineer with a manufacturing engineer.

Support various BU initiatives (capital projects, NPD, cost savings).

• Improve manufacturing system design and efficiency to drive lower cost.
• Process improvement through lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Assist BU product engineering as on-site representative for communication of issues.
• Assist with New Product Development runoff and launch including creation of production work instructions and support of developing the quality control plan.
• Create and maintain material master, BOM’s and routers for new and revised materials in SAP.
• Submit EC requests as needed.
• Validate and maintain router times for all product lines.
• EC Processing – maintain a 3 day or less queue time for S.O. related EC’s.
• Assist the BU in identifying and supporting cost savings initiatives.
• Research and recommend new technologies and methods.
