Hubbell Incorporated in Toluca, Mexico, is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to support and optimize manufacturing processes. You will help design, test, and improve methods, analyze workflows, and contribute to cost estimates and production planning.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree and have experience with Lean practices, CAD tools, and manufacturing software. The role emphasizes process optimization and quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (General, Mechanical, or Electrical) required
  • Lean Practices knowledge required
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and fundamentals of geometry/trigonometry

The Associate Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing processes and improving production efficiency. This position involves assisting in the development and implementation of manufacturing processes, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to process optimization.

Evaluating manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.

Developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.

Improving manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.

Assuring product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.

Providing manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.

Preparing product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Providing manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.

Managing capital projects from start to completion including writing AFEs (Authority for Expenditure).

What will help you thrive in this role?

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (General, Mechanical, or Electrical), or related field (required)

AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Microsoft Access experience is a plus

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes, including assembly and testing

Knowledge of Lean Practices in a manufacturing environment, along with practical experience, is required

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry/trigonometry

Knowledge of Database/Design/Development/Internet and Manufacturing software, including ProE/AutoCad/Microsoft Office

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists along with the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
