Job summary

AMETEK Inc. seeks a hands-on Purchasing Supervisor for our Reynosa manufacturing operation. You will lead daily purchasing activities, manage a team of buyers, and ensure material availability while improving supplier delivery performance to support production and customer commitments.

The role requires urgency, integrity, and strong coordination across suppliers and internal teams, with English/Spanish bilingual capabilities preferred for effective communication.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of buyers responsible for direct and indirect material procurement.
• Ensure purchase orders are placed accurately, and suppliers provide timely acknowledgements and delivery commitments.
• Drive supplier delivery performance and manage recovery plans for late or high-risk suppliers.
• Lead daily reviews of material shortages, past due purchase orders, and production risks.
• Coordinate with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
• Support inventory optimization while maintaining service levels and production requirements.
• Ensure compliance with approved sourcing strategies and supplier assignments.
• Develop and improve purchasing processes, metrics, and reporting.
• Drive a culture of ownership, urgency, communication, and continuous improvement.
