Jabil in Tijuana, Mexico is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical leadership in support of the assembly floor, ensuring adherence to procedures, quality and efficiency during production and new product introductions.

The role acts as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing, interprets drawings, helps create work instructions, and supports ECO/ECR processes while training staff on processes and equipment.

Formación

• Ability to present information to groups of managers and customers.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Proficient PC use and Windows-based software knowledge, including Jabil tools.
• Strong written communication and reading of visual aids.
• Ability to follow simple or two-step instructions with few variables.
• Read and comprehend short instructions, memos, and correspondence.
• Basic arithmetic for rate, ratio, and percent calculations.

Responsabilidades

• Liaise between engineering and manufacturing for transferring customer docs to production processes.
• Provide technical leadership to manufacturing personnel on the floor.
• Interpret assembly drawings and help create assembly work instructions.
• Assist engineering in determining tools and processes for assembly.
• Establish routing requirements and data entry into QM module.
• Implement correct status entry into SAP and support ECO/ECR processes.
• Provide Train The Trainer sessions for manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Assist in transitioning new products to the floor for specific equipment lines.
• Review labor standards and assist in labor quotes and pricing.
• Assist in creation of assembly work instructions and planning.
