Job summary

Schneider Electric in Monterrey, Mexico is seeking a Plant Business Finance Controller to partner with plant leadership and drive financial performance across the site. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and month-end close, while providing operational insights and steering strategic decisions.

This role requires strong accounting knowledge, ERP experience, and the ability to guide a finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in Finance or Accounting.
• Experience in manufacturing finance, plant controlling, or operations finance.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost analysis, and internal controls.
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Partner with plant leadership to drive operational and financial performance.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial review processes.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, productivity, and KPIs to identify risks and opportunities.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure accurate month-end close activities, financial reporting, and compliance with internal controls.
• Monitor balance sheet accounts and support audit, tax, and statutory compliance activities.
• Support capital investment evaluations and business cases.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and other business functions to achieve financial and operational objectives.
• Lead and develop finance team members when applicable.
