Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or CI in industrial manufacturing.
• 3–5 years of leadership or people management experience.
• Strong experience in automotive, commercial vehicle, or wire harness manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading Lean Manufacturing and CI initiatives in a production environment.
• Proven ability to improve productivity, reduce costs, optimize processes, and improve quality.
• Experience with production line design, process flow, workstation optimization, capacity analysis, and labor utilization.
• Strong knowledge of root cause analysis, problem-solving methodologies, and corrective action implementation.
• Experience managing engineering projects, budgets, resources, and performance metrics.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the manufacturing engineering team, setting priorities, performance expectations, and technical standards.
• Oversee development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, layouts, tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Ensure processes are capable, efficient, repeatable, and meet customer and quality requirements.
• Support NPI, engineering changes, process validations, and launches from the manufacturing side.
• Drive standardization of processes across lines and stations.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, and Program Management to resolve technical challenges.
• Develop and execute a continuous improvement roadmap aligned with plant objectives and business priorities.
• Lead Lean initiatives including VSM, 5S, Kaizen events, standardized work, waste elimination, and line balancing.
• Identify opportunities to improve labor productivity, efficiency, throughput, scrap, rework, and OEE.
• Lead process improvement projects to reduce costs, cycle times, bottlenecks, and variation.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (root cause analysis, 5 Why, fishbone, Red X) and ensure CAPAs.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to measure effectiveness and sustainability of improvements.
• Document, standardize, and sustain improvements with follow-up and process controls.
• Support cross-functional teams to improve plant performance and customer satisfaction.
• Lead cross-functional teams in resolving complex manufacturing issues and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Coach and develop manufacturing engineers and CI personnel; set objectives and development plans.
