Job summary

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation in Matamoros, Mexico seeks a Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement professional to lead plant-wide efficiency projects. You will apply Lean methods to reduce lead times, scraps, and waste while partnering with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to sustain gains.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in Lean/CI within manufacturing, strong data-driven problem solving, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement.
Strong knowledge of Lean tools such as VSM, Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, SMED, and RCA.
Experience managing cross-functional projects in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with ERP/MES and manufacturing performance metrics.
Intermediate English; advanced English preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead Lean transformation and continuous improvement projects across manufacturing and support functions.
Identify and eliminate process inefficiencies using Lean methodologies and data-driven decision-making.
Facilitate Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen events, 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, SMED, and Root Cause Analysis activities.
Drive initiatives focused on productivity improvement, quality enhancement, cost reduction, inventory optimization, and lead-time reduction.
Lead cross-functional projects from initiation through implementation utilizing Project Charters, project schedules, and milestone tracking.
Develop and maintain project plans, Gantt charts, critical path analyses, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful and timely project execution.
Support plant expansion, capacity growth, equipment transfers, new product introductions (NPI), and operational readiness projects aligned with business objectives.
Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project effectiveness and operational performance.
Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams to achieve project goals and sustain improvements.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, employee engagement, and structured problem-solving throughout the organization.
Train, coach, and mentor employees in Lean principles, project management methodologies, and continuous improvement best practices.
