is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with experience in furniture manufacturing, woodworking, assembly operations, process improvement, and project management to drive operational excellence on the shop floor. You will lead Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives, support NPI, design and optimize processes, analyze material flow, manage CAPEX projects, and collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to improve

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or similar role.
• Experience in furniture manufacturing, woodworking or related environments preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, productivity and cost.
• Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen.
• Support new product introductions ensuring manufacturability and successful launches.
• Design and improve processes for wood furniture including cutting, machining, assembly, upholstery prep and finishing.
• Develop SOPs and best practices to ensure consistent production performance.
• Analyze material flow to reduce bottlenecks and waste across woodworking, assembly and upholstery areas.
• Design, source and justify equipment, tooling, fixtures and process improvements.
• Lead capability, cycle time and productivity studies to identify gains.
• Support production teams in troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Manage engineering and CAPEX projects: budgets, schedules, resources, execution.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Supply Chain to improve reliability.
• Maintain facility and equipment layouts to support efficient operations.

About the Role

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on professional with experience in furniture manufacturing, woodworking, assembly operations, process improvement, and project management. This position requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and methods to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
• Support new product introductions (NPI), ensuring manufacturability and successful production launches.
• Design and improve manufacturing processes for wood furniture production, including cutting, machining, assembly, upholstery preparation, and finishing operations.
• Develop and standardize process parameters, work instructions (SOPs), and best practices to ensure consistent production performance.
• Analyze and improve material flow across woodworking, assembly, and upholstery areas to reduce bottlenecks and waste.
• Design, develop, test, source, and justify manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and process improvements.
• Lead process capability, cycle time, and productivity studies to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support production teams in troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage engineering and CAPEX projects, including budgets, schedules, resource planning, and project execution.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to improve process reliability and operational performance.
• Maintain facility and equipment layouts to support efficient manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineer or similar role.
• Experience in furniture manufacturing, woodworking, assembly, or related manufacturing environments preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Hands‑on approach with the ability to work effectively on the production floor.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Knowledge of project management tools; CNC experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Self‑directed, organized, and results‑oriented.
• Advanced English proficiency (90%+).
• Valid U.S. visa required.
