Job summary

Paycor is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Arteaga, Coahuila plant to drive new project launches and optimize production processes. You will analyze manufacturing feasibility, plan resources, and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards while coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective improvements.

The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, capacity analysis, and advanced Excel-based optimization, with close collaboration to ensure successful product introductions

Qualifications

• Project management experience using MS Project.
• Expertise in Core Tools and Lean Manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and capacity analysis.

Job description

Position Tittle: Manufacturing Engineer

Reports to: Launch Manager

Work Location: Arteaga, Coahuila, Mexico

Responsibilities

• Analyze the feasibility of implementing new manufacturing processes, as well as plan and allocate the human and material resources required to establish the manufacturing and quality principles for new projects at the plant.
• Develop and design work methods aimed at optimizing production processes and minimizing scrap-related costs, in accordance with established objectives.
• Ensure compliance with and follow-up on all activities related to product launches.
• Optimize production processes by considering Quality, Safety, Cost, Productivity, Ergonomics, and Environmental aspects, ensuring the successful launch of new products in accordance with the plant’s established goals and performance indicators.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives for production processes.
• Maintain manufacturing process information up to date in the ERP system, including BOM (Bill of Materials) updates.
• Effectively communicate, coordinate, and follow up on engineering changes requested by customers or generated internally.
• Execute the validation tests required by customers and coordinate with production areas to implement and validate specifications associated with product or process changes.
• Manage and maintain up-to-date documentation generated by the department and the company, ensuring compliance with the requirements established by the IATF 16949 standard.
