Job summary

FORVIA HELLA in Irapuato, Mexico, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III to execute planning and approval of new and complex production equipment in alignment with the product development process. You will plan and specify complex operating cycles, coordinate for procurement, and project within development projects in agreement with your supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering in automotive.
• Experience with mold technology, plastic injection molding and molding processes.
• English proficiency at an intermediate to advanced level.
• Proficiency in SAP, FMEA (AMEF), and CAD software.
• Experience with process transfers, production launches and achieving project milestones.

Responsibilities

• Agreeing and following up targets with the Project Manager or Operations Readiness Manager in terms of quality, costs and timing.
• Develop production methods considering market developments and check new systems for suitability and applicability.
• Prepare design suggestions for components suitable for production and identify cost-saving potentials.
• Plan complex operating equipment based on capacity and staff plans; determine equipment type, extent and quantity and arrange procurement.
• Assess internal capacities for equipment construction; estimate costs and suggest internal or external procurement.
• Define and describe manufacturing sequences, capacities and equipment data; prepare manufacturing plans.
• Plan new sequences and equipment using existing processes and knowledge; apply digitization (MES, Hydra, iTAC).
• Edit, interpret and implement technical information from partners and coordinate process changes.
• Evaluate risks with FMEA and develop improvement actions.
