Kohler Co. in Juárez, Nuevo León, México is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own the ceramic process line.
You will oversee slip and glaze preparation, casting, drying and firing, while stabilizing shop-floor processes and reducing variability through data-driven decisions. Responsibilities include monitoring key parameters, leading formula changes, managing raw-material inventories, and implementing standard work.

BASIC FUNCTION
Under the supervision of the General Supvr - Slip & Glaze, Monterrey Plant III, this position is responsible for providing manufacturing engineering ownership for ceramic materials and shop-floor processes, including raw-material variability, slip and glaze preparation, casting, drying and firing performance. The role exercises daily process control, data-driven decision-making, inventory governance for raw materials, slip and glaze, and implementation of standard work and engineering controls to stabilize performance, improve yield, reduce quality deviations, scrap and rework, and support cost-efficient, preventive operations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Materials, Chemical, Ceramic, Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Preference minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, ceramic materials, vitreous operations or related manufacturing processes, including hands-on experience with process control, quality improvement, Lean Manufacturing and data-driven problem solving.
FORMATION:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows based software applications, manufacturing data analysis tools and structured problem-solving methodologies. Knowledge of ceramic materials, slip and glaze preparation, casting and firing processes is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
