General Motors de México is seeking an engineer with deep knowledge in manufacturing test processes, instrumentation, and data acquisition to support propulsion and vehicle manufacturing activities on site in Mexico. The role emphasizes APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, and cross-functional collaboration across global teams.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related manufacturing discipline.
  • Proficiency in English at least intermediate-advanced.
  • Experience with test systems, data acquisition, and quality processes.

Responsabilidades

  • Apply knowledge of test processes, equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition.
  • Support propulsion or vehicle manufacturing process improvements.
  • Contribute to APQP/PPAP and control plan activities.
  • Work with test-system architecture, sensors, PLC/HMI, networks and databases.
  • Perform statistical analysis and capability studies to support quality.
  • Interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic drawings and specs.
  • Define technical requirements and change control criteria.
  • Engage in project and supplier management with cross-functional teams.
  • Utilize MS Office and engineering tools for documentation and analysis.
  • Collaborate with global, multidisciplinary teams on initiatives.
  • Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and sound judgment.

Job Description
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing test processes, test equipment, instrumentation, controls, automation, and data acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of propulsion, vehicle, component, or assembly manufacturing processes.
  • Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, quality-chain requirements, MARO, launch-wall processes, and GPDP.
  • Knowledge of test-system architecture, sensors, transducers, signal conditioning, PLC/HMI systems, industrial networks, databases, and traceability.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, measurement-system analysis, capability studies, SPC, and structured problem-solving.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, controls, software, and product drawings.
  • Ability to define and manage technical requirements, interfaces, acceptance criteria, and change control.
  • Strong project-management, supplier-management, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering tools used for documentation, planning, simulation, data analysis, or manufacturing execution.
  • Ability to work effectively with global, multicultural, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • High level of initiative, accountability, integrity, adaptability, and decision-making judgment.
