Job summary

KEMET de México is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive continuous improvement, eliminate waste, and optimize processes at the Guadalupe, NL plant. The role focuses on improving productivity, quality, and cost objectives while ensuring safety and compliance with manufacturing standards.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s in engineering and 1+ years of experience, strong English and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering required.
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement projects in a manufacturing environment to improve process utilization, labor variance.
• Generate systems to maintain high levels of manufacturing and product quality.
• Ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards.
• Coordinate and improve current Manufacturing systems throughout the plant (5s, Visual Factory, Gemba Walks).
• Maintaining research and activity documentation and preparing reports.
• Communicate project results to all levels.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to achieve business objectives.

Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for improving operational performance by identifying and eliminating waste, optimizing manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role analyzes process performance, resolves technical manufacturing issues, and supports productivity, quality, and cost objectives. This is a full-time, on-site position located at our Guadalupe, NL plant.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
