Nexteer Automotive México is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to drive assembly process improvements, support product launches, and implement lean manufacturing practices in a fast-paced automotive environment.

You will design and optimize workstations, analyze data to boost OEE and FPY, and collaborate with Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering fields (Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronics).
• 3+ years of experience in assembly manufacturing engineering in automotive or Tier 1 supplier environment.
• Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.
• Strong lean and continuous improvement experience.

Responsabilités

• Design, optimize, and validate assembly processes, workstations, tooling, fixtures, and equipment for new and existing product launches.
• Support manufacturing readiness activities, including PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and Standardized Work.
• Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to improve OEE, FPY, and overall manufacturing performance.
• Collaborate with Quality, Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Product Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Lead root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, A3, 5 Why, Fishbone, and DMAIC.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and capacity expansion projects.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process standards, and operator training materials.
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and automotive quality standards.
• Participate in APQP activities and support product launches from concept through production.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and repeatability.

• 3+ years of experience in assembly manufacturing engineering within an automotive or Tier 1 supplier environment.
• Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.
• Proven experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Strong understanding of assembly processes, manufacturing equipment, and production systems.
• Experience supporting new product launches and process validation activities.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
