ZF Group in Santa Rosa is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly) to support production stability, tooling, and continuous improvement of assembly processes. You will analyze downtime, drive cost-saving projects, and contribute to 5S and quality initiatives.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline.
• At least two years of relevant experience in manufacturing and the automotive industry; internal candidates may be considered with less experience.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Advanced knowledge of automotive Core Tools including PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, APQP, and PPAP.
• Advanced knowledge of AIAG-VDA Process FMEA and GD&T.
• Experience with statistical analysis, structured problem solving, tooling, and assembly-process improvement.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and customer-specific requirements.
• Strong customer focus, availability, commitment, collaboration, and ability to work across functions.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical support for manufacturing equipment and tooling to maintain process stability and production continuity.
• Develop improvement projects using statistical tools and structured problem-solving methods to increase assembly-line availability and generate cost savings.
• Respond to Andon calls, analyze manufacturing downtime, and implement action plans to reduce production interruptions.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance planning for tooling and maintain component catalogs for parts subject to wear.
• Participate in quality problem-solving activities and follow up on nonconformities identified during operational and quality events.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including PFMEAs, work instructions, visual aids, poka-yoke records, tooling designs, and model-change documentation.
• Support the installation, testing, commissioning, adjustment, and continuous improvement of integrated manufacturing systems.
• Implement robust 5S practices and support compliance with BIQS, IATF, VDA, environmental, health, and safety requirements.

The Assembly Manufacturing team supports stable, efficient, and continuously improving production processes. It works closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and other functions to maintain equipment and tooling availability. The team applies technical and statistical problem-solving methods to reduce downtime, address quality concerns, and improve assembly-line performance. It also supports compliance with applicable quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety standards.

Your Profile as Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly):
