Vertiv Co in Mexicali is seeking an experienced Material Planning Supervisor/Master Scheduler to coordinate production planning with sales, monitor inventory levels, and optimize capacity for on-time shipment.

You will maintain MRP data, set safety stocks, lead daily planning meetings, and drive improvements in loading and lead-times while ensuring accurate product availability for customers.

Formación

• BS in business administration or related field.
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, materials management or material planning.
• Experience in an industrial, high mix job shop environment.
• Very proficient in spreadsheets, MS Office.
• Hands on experience with calculating safety stocks, reorder points (MIN/MAX) and forecasting and inventory turns.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and ability to work at different levels of the organization.
• Experience with ERP / MRP systems.

Responsabilidades

• Fill in for the Material Planning Supervisor and Master Scheduler as needed.
• Coordinate with sales on customer orders to achieve on-time shipment and high service level.
• Update forecasts based on demand input and design changes.
• Lead throughput improvements focusing on loading, lead-time and plant capacity.
• Review capacity by work-center and rebalance load to optimize service.
• Align acknowledge and promise dates with customer requests.
• Set up, execution and maintenance of ordering parameters and MRP data.
• Monitor capacities and product line delivery performance and daily throughputs.
• Monitor inventory to avoid excess, obsolescence and shortages.
• Oversee inventory policy using ABCD classification and proper planning parameters.
• Adjust forecasts and planning parameters including safety stocks, reorder points, minimum orders, per Vertiv guidelines.
• Participate in cost savings efforts.
• Review and release manufacturing orders for sub-assemblies and finished goods.
• Participate in daily production and planning meetings.
• Coordinate engineering changes and phase in/out.
• Daily coordination of information between production, purchasing, sales, shipping and engineering.
• Represent the group in meetings and act as liaison.
• Provide product availability and shipping information to sales or customers as required.
• Work with Customers and Sales Coordinators on scheduling finished goods to meet customer expectations.
• Generate daily, weekly, monthly metric reports.
• Develop in-depth knowledge on products and critical operations.

Description for Internal Candidates

• Lead efforts to improve throughput with a focus on loading, lead-time and optimizing plant capacity

• Set up, execution and maintenance of ordering parameters and MRP data.
• Monitor capacities and product line delivery performance and daily throughputs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

(education, experience level, knowledge, skills, designations/certifications).

• BS is business administration, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, materials management or material planning function.
• Experience in an industrial, high mix job shop environment
