TE Connectivity Corporation is seeking an experienced Materials Planning Manager in Hermosillo, MX to lead materials planning, master production scheduling, and S&OP/SIOP activities. You will manage inventory, drive scheduling efficiency, and collaborate across Materials, Operations, Procurement, and Finance to meet customer commitments.

The role requires 5+ years in planning, strong SAP/Excel skills, and a Lean mindset.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Materials Planning, Supply Chain, Production Planning, or related areas.
  • People leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP, MPS, Inventory Management, Demand Planning, and S&OP/SIOP processes.
  • Experience in low-volume/high-mix manufacturing preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Excel; APICS CPIM is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Fluent English communication; knowledge of quality, safety, and environmental standards is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead and supervise the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for 0 to 3 months in line with S&OP/SIOP.
  • Analyze capacity, labor, equipment, and resources to meet demand and identify constraints.
  • Monitor material requirements, purchase orders, scheduling agreements, and inventory levels.
  • Oversee Control Tower meetings, shop floor execution, and backlog to sustain on-time delivery.
  • Ensure accuracy of master data, including lead times, safety stock, and MRP settings.
  • Identify supply chain improvements and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration among Materials, Operations, Procurement, and Finance.
  • Support Lean initiatives and inventory optimization strategies.
  • Escalate risks promptly and determine actions to maintain performance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the planning team to meet business objectives.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Materials Planning Manager to lead materials planning and production scheduling activities, ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials throughout the production cycle. This role is responsible for managing inventory levels, overseeing master production scheduling, supporting S&OP/SIOP processes, and driving supply chain performance to meet customer delivery commitments while optimizing operational efficiency.

What your background should look like
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Materials Planning, Supply Chain, Production Planning, or related areas.
  • Previous people leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP, MPS, Inventory Management, Demand Planning, and S&OP/SIOP processes.
  • Experience in a low-volume/high-mix manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • APICS CPIM certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, safety regulations, and environmental management standards is preferred.

  • Oversee Control Tower meetings, shop floor execution, and backlog management to maintain high on-time delivery performance.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of supply chain master data, including lead times, inventory parameters, safety stock levels, and MRP settings.
  • Identify supply chain improvement opportunities and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration among Materials, Operations, Procurement, and Finance teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing and inventory optimization strategies.
  • Escalate business risks in a timely manner and determine the best course of action to maintain operational performance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the planning team to achieve business objectives and customer satisfaction goals.
