Amazon Mexico is seeking an Area Shift Manager to lead a large, diverse team at one of our operational sites. You will ensure safety, drive productivity, monitor processes, and coordinate with colleagues to meet customer demand across shifts, including weekends and holidays.

This entry‑level management role focuses on developing a people‑oriented leadership style, owning KPIs, coordinating with engineers on process improvements, and growing your leadership capabilities within Amazon Operations.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related field, orGraduated within the last 12 months.
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts) required.
  • English level: Intermediate; Spanish: Fluent.
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience with logistics preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead daily inventory control, quality assurance and capacity activities in the Warehouse to support on-time customer service.
  • Promote best Stow and Picking practices and manage capacity within the Warehouse.
  • Monitor KPIs, coordinate with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvements.

Job Specifics
  • This role is fully onsite and requires flexibility to work and rotate shifts: weekends, holidays, and/or overnight shifts, and Ability to work overtime both in peak season and as needed.
A Day in the Life

You’ll work shifts and be based at one of our operational sites. Your main focus will be to maintain safety standards within your team and across your site. You’ll also monitor and maintain process efficiency. Your days will always include prioritizing routine team management and daily operational tasks, alongside other tasks like individual escalations, process improvement work and wide-scale operational contingency planning.

Being a key part of the operations team involves working with colleagues in other teams and external partners to make sure we stay on track to meet our customer demands and targets. This will involve analyzing data and performance metrics with leaders in your business area, as well as discussing the operational pros and cons of technical improvements with engineers.

Key job responsibilities

Amazon’s Operations team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated recent graduate to work on the management of daily inventory control, quality assurance and capacity activities for our Warehouse. Inventory control and quality assurance activities play a critical role in leading best Stow and Picking practices, and capacity management inside the Warehouse and thereby has direct impact on Amazon's ability to serve customers on time.

Basic Qualifications
  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years Bachelor’s Degree program in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Engineering or other related field or graduated within the last 12 months.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (pivot tables, vlook up, charts)
  • Intermediate knowledge of English
  • Fluent Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • 1+ years’ experience in a role with similar responsibilities
  • Previous experience as Project Management
  • Experience managing department’s KPIs and driven results
  • Logistics Background from Operations environment, preferably from First-Middle Mile Ops.
