Amazon Logistics in Monterrey, Mexico seeks a proactive Area Shift Manager to lead a large, diverse team and keep pace with demand across an on-site operation. You will drive productivity, maintain safety standards, and collaborate with engineers to evaluate improvements while managing daily tasks and contingency planning.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s in Supply Chain or related field and experience with Excel, Lean methods, and English/Spanish fluency.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or related field; or 2+ years in a similar program (last 12 months).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts).
• Intermediate English; Fluent Spanish.

In this hands‑on role, you’ll learn about the complexity of operations at a global business and what it takes to make everything run seamlessly. While you implement your team’s approach to drive productivity, you’ll also work closely with your colleagues to address challenges, which means no two days will be the same.

Job Specifics

• This role is fully onsite and requires flexibility to work and rotate shifts: weekends, holidays, and/or overnight shifts, and Ability to work overtime both in peak season and as needed.

A Day in the Life

You’ll work shifts and be based at one of our operational sites. Your main focus will be to maintain safety standards within your team and across your site. You’ll also monitor and maintain process efficiency. Your days will always include prioritizing routine team management and daily operational tasks, alongside other tasks like individual escalations, process improvement work and wide‑scale operational contingency planning.

Being a key part of the operations team involves working with colleagues in other teams and external partners to make sure we stay on track to meet our customer demands and targets. This will involve analyzing data and performance metrics with leaders in your business area, as well as discussing the operational pros and cons of technical improvements with engineers.

Key job responsibilities

Amazon’s Operations team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated recent graduate to work on the management of daily inventory control, quality assurance and capacity activities for our Warehouse. Inventory control and quality assurance activities play a critical role in leading best Stow and Picking practices, and capacity management inside the Warehouse and thereby has direct impact on Amazon's ability to serve customers on time.

Basic Qualifications

• A completed Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years Bachelor’s Degree program in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Engineering or other related field or graduated within the last 12 months.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (pivot tables, vlook up, charts)
• Intermediate knowledge of English
• Fluent Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• 1+ years’ experience in a role with similar responsibilities
• Previous experience as Project Management
• Experience managing department´s KPIs and driven results
• Logistics Background from Operations environment, preferably from First-Middle Mile Ops.
