ABB in Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico, is seeking a maintenance leader to head the factory maintenance team. The role focuses on planning and implementing reliability and efficiency initiatives for electrical equipment, production lines, and facilities. On-site, 12-hour weekend shifts may be required.

You will develop life cycle management procedures, coordinate breakdown responses, and work closely with Engineering to improve processes and safety while controlling costs.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechatronics, or related engineering field.
• 4+ years of experience in maintenance roles or leading a maintenance team.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
• Advanced English proficiency is required.

Each day, you will coordinate the response to equipment breakdowns. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and implementing equipment life cycle management procedures for optimizing reliability and cost.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnSiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.You will be mainly accountable for:Coordinating with the team to solve major technical, equipment, or facilities problems to achieve higher performance of the production lines.Defining maintenance plans for new production lines and recommending methods to improve reliability, ongoing maintenance, and safety of equipment, in collaboration with the Engineering department.Developing and proposing improvement projects for processes and production lines to reduce both ordinary and extraordinary maintenance.Monitoring the costs and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources and determining actions to cost issues as necessary.Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechatronics, or a related engineering field.4+ years of experience in similar positions as a maintenance specialist or maintenance team leader.Availability to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) & Resting from Monday to Thursday.Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment.Experience interpreting electrical and hydraulic diagrams.Knowledge of PLCs and process control systems.Technical ability to understand schematic drawings, plan safe work procedures on electrical systems and equipment, recognize and manage electrical hazards, and communicate and lead a team effectively.You are innovative in your communication skills, detail-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving, time management, teamwork, and customer focus abilities.Experience managing and resolving team conflicts.Advanced English proficiency is required.Building a cleaner, smarter future takes all kinds of minds: the curious, the courageous, and the creative.
