ABB in Ramos Arizpe is seeking a Production Engineering Manager to lead the factory maintenance team, planning and implementing initiatives to keep equipment, infrastructure and production lines reliable, efficient, and safe.

You will drive life cycle management, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives; ensure all machinery and building services are in optimal condition to meet production requirements, with on-site work and no relocation support.

Formación

• 10+ years of experience in maintenance within the metal-mechanical industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and engineering principles.
• Solid understanding of reliability strategies, operational excellence, financial management, and lifecycle management.
• Proven experience in team leadership.
• Advanced proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or related).
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Define and manage the annual maintenance budget by monitoring costs and evaluating the effectiveness of activities to optimize resources.
• Establish maintenance policies and processes to maximize equipment and facility efficiency.
• Develop and implement life cycle management procedures for new and existing equipment.
• Define maintenance plans for new production lines and recommend methods to improve reliability, maintenance practices, and equipment safety in collaboration with Engineering.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as MTBF and MTTR, to evaluate team performance.

Production Engineering Manager

In this role, you will lead the factory Maintenance team in planning and implementing initiatives to maintain and improve the reliability, effectiveness, and efficiency of equipment, technical infrastructure, production lines, and facilities.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing equipment life cycle management practices to optimize costs and profitability. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement by proposing projects focused on reducing both routine and non-routine maintenance.

You will also ensure that all machinery, equipment, plant services, and building infrastructure are properly maintained and in optimal operating condition to meet production requirements.

The work model for the role is: On site

Global relocation/LTA support will not be considered for this position.

This role supports the Smart Buildings NEMA Enclosures factory in Ramos Arizpe.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage the annual maintenance budget by monitoring costs and evaluating the effectiveness of activities to optimize resources.

• Track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), to evaluate team performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in maintenance, preferably involving machinery, equipment, plant services, and building infrastructure within the metal-mechanical industry.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance techniques, including mechanical, electrical, and engineering principles.
• Solid understanding of reliability strategies, operational excellence, financial management, and lifecycle management.
• Proven experience in team leadership.
• Advanced proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Experience with automation processes and programming languages is considered a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field).
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to solve complex technical issues.
