ABB in Mexico is seeking a Production Team Leader to oversee a line within the switchboard unit in Apodaca. You will guide a team, allocate resources, and ensure production targets are met safely and efficiently.

You will collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, and Engineering to sustain operations, drive Lean improvements, and deliver cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.

Fluency in English and strong leadership are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Production Team Leader in manufacturing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
• Knowledge of Lean methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and decision making.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong leadership, communication, and prioritization skills.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities.
• Ensure KPIs for efficiency, quality, waste, and cycle times.
• Lead and motivate the operations team to be safe and results-driven.
• Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S).
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, and Engineering to ensure continuity.

This position reports to:

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team within a Production unit or line to execute production processes, transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Each day, you will ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies. You will also showcase your expertise by organizing and allocating resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently.

This role is contributing to the Switchboard team in Apodaca.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities within the assigned area.
• Ensure compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs), including efficiency, quality, waste reduction, cycle times, and others.
• Lead and motivate the operations team, fostering a safe, collaborative, and results-oriented work environment.
• Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, etc.).
• Coordinate with departments such as Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, and Engineering to ensure operational continuity.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related.
