General Motors in Toluca, MX seeks a maintenance supervisor to lead hourly teams and drive lean manufacturing and GMS initiatives onsite. You will train, mentor, and develop a workforce while ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met in a rotating 4x3 shift pattern, including weekends.

Responsibilities include implementing preventive and predictive maintenance, interpreting pneumatic/hydraulic drawings, and fostering a safe, collaborative environment with union relations.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or relevant experience.
• Ability to interpret pneumatic and hydraulic drawings.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant technical experience.
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Intermediate English comprehension.
• Experience in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Proven experience leading and developing maintenance teams.
• Knowledge of GMS, global manufacturing systems, or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Availability to work rotating shifts (4x3 schedule) and availability to work on weekends.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes and serve as resource supporting launch and pilot activities in assigned areas.
• Meet or exceed production cost schedule and maintain quality requirements.
• Maintain awareness of quality standards and communicate department quality goals to solve issues.
• Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, union and management.
• Understand and administer the National and Local Agreements between General Motors and the United Auto Workers Union.
• Promote safe work practices and achieve ergonomics, health and safety objectives.
• Motivate, train and develop employees to perform their jobs using standardized methods.
• Ensure team members receive adequate JIT (job instruction training).
• Achieve production schedules and product requirements by applying lean manufacturing/synchronous principles.
