General Motors Toluca site is seeking an onsite Maintenance and Equipment Lead to drive maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities. You will set strategy, schedules, and quality requirements while ensuring compliance with local labor agreements and corporate safety standards.

You will supervise and develop staff, manage budgets and forecasts, and coordinate with other departments. Travel to required locations may be necessary.

Job Description

• Lead the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities

• Implements divisional and corporate policies, safety and good housekeeping practices
• Frequent collaboration with others outside of the work group
• Communicates with plant and staffs
• Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment
• Leads in the selection of new employees. Trains, develops and evaluates employees
• Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project and proven ability to manage multiple and significantly complex projects and assignments with the highest level of autonomy and accountability for results
• Demonstrates initiative by reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and/or help others
• Validated ability in project management skills and ability to teach others and shown desire and ability to manage/coach performance of direct reports
• Responsible for creating budgets and forecasts within assigned area
• Obtains a deep knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles
