FedEx Group is seeking a senior payroll leader to manage a multi-regional team, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery. You will guide governance, compliance, and process improvements while working with cross-functional stakeholders to support business objectives and employee experience.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of payroll leadership experience, with strong English and stakeholder management skills.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive payroll experience.
  • Leadership experience managing a diverse team in a matrix organization.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead, coach, and develop a multi-regional payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.
  • Provide expert guidance on payroll matters and act as escalation point for complex issues.
  • Recruit, develop, motivate, and manage team performance with clear guidelines and tools.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain global payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with international, national, and local payroll, tax, and labor regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization of payroll processes and automation.
  • Lead stakeholder and vendor relationships to ensure data accuracy and optimal outcomes.
  • Oversee payroll-related projects and transformations and present plans to senior management.

This position ensures the compliant and timely processing of payroll. The manager will lead a team of payroll team members, drive operational excellence through process standardization and continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support key business objectives and foster a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Operations & Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a multi-regional payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on all payroll matters, acting as the escalation point for complex operational and compliance issues.
  • Recruit, develop, motivate, and manage team performance, providing the necessary guidelines and tools to achieve individual and team objectives.
Governance, Compliance & Policy
  • Develop, implement, and maintain global payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure data integrity and audit readiness.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all international, national, and local payroll, tax, and labor regulations.
Process Improvement & Transformation
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including the automation of systems and standardization of payroll processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead the design and implementation of best practices within the payroll function.
  • Support system implementations, upgrades, testing, and optimization efforts.
  • Utilize data-driven insights and performance metrics to identify opportunities, support recommendations, and make informed decisions.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
  • Build and partner effectively with a network of key stakeholders and senior management to maintain payroll data accuracy, manage contract negotiations, monitor service performance, and align escalations with optimal outcomes.
Complex Case & Project Management
  • Finalize and present strategic plans and business cases to senior management for approval.
  • Manage complex payroll matters.
  • Lead and oversee payroll-related projects and transformation initiatives.
  • Proactively identify and analyze business issues and opportunities, evaluating and deciding on high-impact solutions.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in payroll.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role, with the ability to manage a diverse team, including clerical and professional staff.
  • Strong knowledge of global payroll operations, tax compliance, and statutory requirements.
  • Experience managing payroll for a large and diverse employee base.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership.
  • Proficient in English.
