A leading company operating in a highly regulated industry is seeking an experienced Litigation Manager to lead the management of complex litigation and legal disputes across Mexico.

This position will be responsible for developing and executing litigation strategies involving administrative, civil, constitutional, regulatory and tax matters. The role will also coordinate external counsel, advise internal stakeholders and identify potential legal contingencies that could affect the company’s operations, financial position or competitive interests.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management and resolution of litigation and legal disputes involving the company across Mexico.
• Develop, implement and execute legal strategies throughout all stages of judicial, constitutional and administrative proceedings.
• Manage matters involving administrative, civil, constitutional, regulatory and tax law, as well as other disputes relevant to the company’s operations.
• Assess complex legal matters and recommend preventive, defensive or affirmative legal actions to protect the company’s rights and interests.
• Coordinate external law firms, providing strategic direction and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of legal services.
• Review litigation strategies, legal briefs, motions, appeals, amparo filings, evidence and other relevant legal documents.
• Represent the company, or coordinate its representation, before courts, administrative bodies, regulators and other relevant authorities.
• Advise internal stakeholders on litigation risks, regulatory obligations and legal alternatives.
• Collaborate with different business areas to collect, analyze and organize the information and evidence required for legal proceedings.
• Identify matters that could become material risks or legal contingencies and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Evaluate the legal, financial, operational and commercial implications of ongoing or potential disputes.
• Recommend changes to internal processes, policies or specific practices to prevent recurring disputes and reduce legal exposure.
• Communicate significant case developments, risk assessments and recommended courses of action to relevant stakeholders and leadership.
• Coordinate the implementation of judgments, settlements, administrative decisions and other legal resolutions.
• Maintain appropriate oversight of litigation portfolios, procedural deadlines, external counsel deliverables and case reporting.
• Monitor relevant changes in laws, regulations and judicial criteria that could affect the company or its legal strategy.

Required Qualifications

• Law degree and valid professional license to practice law in Mexico.
• At least five years of relevant litigation experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex judicial, constitutional and administrative proceedings.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican administrative and constitutional law, including amparo proceedings.
• Experience developing and implementing litigation strategies.
• Experience coordinating and providing strategic direction to external law firms.
• Strong legal research, analysis and drafting capabilities.
• Ability to assess legal risks and translate complex issues into practical business recommendations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex matters, competing priorities and procedural deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Availability to manage litigation and legal proceedings across Mexico.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to large-scale or nationwide operations.
• Experience managing legal disputes involving regulators, government authorities, commercial counterparties, suppliers or other third parties.
• Experience in telecommunications or another regulated sector.
• Familiarity with tax, civil and commercial disputes.
• Experience preparing legal contingency and executive-level litigation reports.
• Experience overseeing legal-service providers, related budgets and performance indicators.
