Job summary

Kraken design team seeks a frontend designer to craft web experiences and marketing pages that engage and convert. You’ll work with designers, researchers, product managers, content specialists, and engineers to deliver high-quality experiences from concept to production.

You’ll apply user-centered design, accessibility, and performance best practices while balancing business goals and technical constraints. The role emphasizes collaboration and owning your work across the design system.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrates design quality and optimization.
• Understanding of how design integrates with code, including HTML/CSS.
• Awareness of technically feasible approaches and performance optimization.
• Design for accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience collaborating with designers, researchers, PMs, content and engineers.
• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
• Strong user-centered design mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of web experiences and marketing pages to drive engagement and conversion.
• Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, content specialists, and engineers to deliver high-quality experiences.
• Balance business objectives and user needs with technical constraints for data-informed outcomes.
• Take concepts from research to exploration, to prototypes, to production.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Own your work with attention to detail and accountability.
• Contribute to evolving design systems and standards.
• Use data to inform brand strategy and product growth, sharing insights with executives.
