GE Vernova in Querétaro seeks a Lead Protection & Control Engineer to define and design high‑quality protection schemes for T&D substations, data centers, and BESS applications. You will lead a local or remote design team and coordinate with electrical layout, relay setting, and field personnel.

Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, preparing P&C engineering estimates, performing design calculations, and ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in protection schemes and related areas for T&D substations.
• P.E. License or EIT with willingness to pursue P.E certification.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%, including international.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure high quality design of protection schemes for T&D substations and related applications.
• Lead a local or remote design team to develop P&C designs and drawings.
• Evaluate interoperability, control features and SCADA/communications needs.
• Interface with customers to resolve technical issues and provide estimates.
• Perform design calculations for DC/AC power, CT/PT parameters and related sizing.
