Job summary

General Motors in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico is seeking a production supervisor to lead GMS processes and support launches and pilot activities. You will train and develop hourly team members, promote lean manufacturing, and ensure production schedules meet requirements.

You will maintain quality standards, safety and housekeeping, and foster strong working relationships with employees, union and management. Shift rotation is 4x3 with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or any Engineering - or relevant experience.
• 1 year of experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in English, with the ability to hold effective conversations.
• Availability to rotate shifts (4x3) and work weekends.
• Experience in monitoring and managing production activities.
• Hands-on experience implementing solutions in production environments.
• Knowledge of Office tools and basic AI applications.
• Experience in problem‑solving
• Basic knowledge of Lean tools

Responsibilities

• Lead Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes and support launches and pilot activities in assigned areas.
• Train, develop and evaluate hourly team members.
• Promote lean manufacturing and variation reduction to improve productivity.
• Ensure production schedules and product requirements are met.
• Maintain quality standards and safety/housekeeping.
• Foster good working relationships with employees, union and management.
