Job summary
Johnson Controls in Mexico is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design and optimize pressure vessels, ensuring ASME compliance and manufacturability. You will lead APQP activities, collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, and drive ECN implementations throughout the product lifecycle.
The role requires strong technical leadership, DFMEA/ PFMEA knowledge, and proficiency with CAD tools. Travel up to 30% may be needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Experience leading ECN/engineering changes in manufacturing.
- Strong APQP knowledge and DFMEA/PFMEA understanding.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee pressure vessel design to meet ASME and customer specs.
- Drive APQP activities across product lifecycle to ensure robust changes.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams for ECN planning and implementation.
- Assess manufacturability and cost impacts of new designs and changes.
- Ensure design documentation, DFMEA, control plans, and process diagrams are up to date.
