fontisenergy is seeking an Offshore Electrician to operate, maintain, and repair electrical equipment on offshore rigs and to supervise electrical personnel onboard, assisting the RMS with daily duties. The role requires reading drawings, performing tests, and coordinating with OIM and onshore staff to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Candidates should have at least 3 years on offshore drilling rigs and fluent English, with a relevant degree in Electrical/Electronic fields.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or electronics.
• Engineering or Electronic Technology background.
• At least 3 years of experience on offshore drilling rigs.

Responsabilidades

• Operate, maintain, and repair power generation and distribution equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and diagrams and interpret performance to solve problems.
• Gather data from instruments to identify trends and ensure issues are addressed.
• Communicate equipment problems or breakdown information with OIM and onshore staff.
• Ensure permits and energy isolation procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Maintain logbooks and perform thorough handovers at shift changes.
• Train subordinates to fill higher positions and carry out performance appraisals.
