Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer focused on machining and CNC processes. You will apply standard engineering techniques, analyze data, and support product launches across machining applications and processes.

You will mentor technicians, coordinate with vendors and develop CNC controls standards, while supporting PFMEA and Lean practices across Elyria and manufacturing sites. This role offers growth within the Knorr-Bremse Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline.
• Formalized training in business finance a plus.
• Formalized training in statistical techniques.
• Experience with CNC-based control systems.
• Experience with in-process measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Machining specialist for organization.
• Support product launch program managers on new product launches with respect to machining applications and processes.
• Convert engineering drawing specifications to plant floor manufacturing processes.
• Support plant operations in the selection and installation of machine control devices for safety.
• Documentation of CNC programs for new products and changes to existing products and processes.
• Lead the development and maintenance of a CNC systems plan for all new equipment and existing equipment upgrades.
• Support equipment vendor activity from concept through installation; including RFQ, equipment design reviews, and runoffs.
• Support manufacturing and operations input into the product development process, including PFMEA development.
• Lead the development of standards for CNC controls software and machining equipment.
