EPAM Systems in Mexico is seeking a Lead JavaScript Software Engineer to design and deliver high-performance web and hybrid-mobile applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js. You will focus on fast, SEO-friendly UIs and collaborate with backend engineers, UX designers, and product owners.

You will lead development teams, implement mobile-first designs, optimize Core Web Vitals, and contribute to a shared UI component library.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of modern web development experience with user-facing features.
• Experience leading and managing development teams in an Agile/Scrum setting.
• Expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and React for scalable front-ends.
• Practical Next.js experience including App Router or Pages Router and Server Components.
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, styled-components, or CSS Modules for UI styling.
• Experience optimizing web apps for mobile browsers and PWAs.
• Proficient Git usage and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance web apps using React and Next.js with SSR/SSG and API routes.
• Implement mobile-first, responsive designs optimized for iOS and Android browsers.
• Manage complex client-side state with Redux, Zustand, or Context API.

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js to deliver fast, SEO-friendly, and mobile-first user interfaces. You will focus on crafting exceptional web experiences that look and feel like native mobile apps, optimizing performance for both desktop and mobile web view browsers (including iOS Safari).
