Job summary

EPAM is hiring a Lead Java Developer to build backend services and AI agent components for an AI-enabled platform that detects and remediates security issues. You will define skills, tools, and multi-agent orchestration patterns using Google ADK and BMAD methodology, collaborating with React and Python ADK engineers across business units.

The role requires 5+ years of AI agent development experience, hands-on orchestration expertise, and strong English (C1).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on AI agent development experience with orchestration, fault tolerance, validation and deterministic error handling.
• Solid understanding of orchestration patterns and agentic frameworks such as ADK or LangGraph.
• Demonstrated experience with spec-driven / documentation-first development practices.
• Ability to operate independently across distributed, cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in English at a C1 level.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services and AI agent components for automated vulnerability detection and remediation workflows.
• Create, configure, and compose AI agents by defining skills, tools, and multi-agent orchestration patterns using Google ADK and BMAD methodology.
• Collaborate with React and Python ADK engineers to ship end-to-end agent capabilities across multiple business unit teams.
• Apply spec-driven development by starting each feature from a spec and keeping every implementation traceable to it.
• Lead technically by reviewing code, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to architectural decisions with the Anchor/SA.
