Fontis Energy is seeking a capable Deck Operations Lead to oversee deck crews, supervise rigging and lifting activities, and ensure safe, efficient execution of vessel loading/offloading and crane support. You will manage daily handovers, maintain logs, and train subordinates according to the matrix.

The role emphasizes adherence to procedures, incident-free operations, and active participation in meetings to optimize drilling operations and deck performance.

Formación

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• At least 3 years’ experience in oil & gas drilling-related work.
• Crane Operator certificate is required or preferred.
• Computer skills are expected.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
• Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Fluent English is desirable.
• As per company training directives.

Responsabilidades

• Organize and supervise the deck crews.
• Inspect rigging equipment, including slings, wire rope, and shackles.
• Tag and remove expired or damaged lifting appliances from service.
• Maintain cranes and other lift equipment.
• Ensure compliance with governing documents by reports.
• Revise governing documents as required.
• Provide clear daily operational guidelines for reports.
• Conduct drills and checks as required.
• Maintain reports and logs as directed.
• Execute safe and efficient operations per procedures.
• Handover thoroughly at each shift change.
• Participate in meetings and train subordinates per training matrix.
• Ensure personal safety and the safety of supervisees.
• Address other matters deemed necessary by management.
• Assist with deck or rig floor operations as required.
• Prepare for future drilling operations.
