EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks a Lead Backend Engineer to drive the backend for our Internal Developer Platform built on Backstage. You will design scalable microservices, build Backstage backend plugins, and connect tools like Git, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Argo Workflows to streamline developer workflows.

You will own backend architecture for catalog, scaffolder, workflows and APIs, implement security, RBAC, OAuth/SSO, and mentor the team in solid engineering practices across the organization.

Formación

• 5+ years of backend/platform engineering experience.
• 1+ year leading development teams.
• Strong Node.js/TypeScript backend experience.
• Experience with Backstage backend plugins and APIs.
• Kubernetes and containerized environments.

Responsabilidades

• Direct backend development for the Internal Developer Platform built on Backstage.
• Architect and roll out scalable microservices and APIs for platform capabilities.
• Develop Backstage plugins and services powering core platform functionality.
• Implement RBAC, authentication, OAuth and SSO across services.
• Coordinate with Git, CI/CD, Kubernetes and Argo Workflows to streamline workflows.
• Mentor engineers and promote strong engineering practices across the organization.
