Iron Mountain seeks an innovative Lead Platform Engineer — Platform Development to shape our internal developer experience. You will architect and evolve our Backstage-based platform, bridge strategic direction with daily coding, and enable our teams to build, deploy, and scale cloud workloads with speed, security, and autonomy.

You will lead architecture discussions, contribute to the codebase, explore AI-powered tooling, and mentor engineers while advancing GitOps and security practices across

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in a technical role, with 2–4 years as a technical lead on complex initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Python, Go, or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Expert-level Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE) and public cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Hands-on REST API development, GitOps tooling with ArgoCD, and security automation.

Responsabilidades

• Architect the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) and Kubernetes ecosystems and document ADRs.
• Contribute code to the platform (50%+ hands-on) using Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Explore Generative AI features to boost developer productivity and safety.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to create Golden Path templates for deployments.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and evolving GitOps deployment practices.
