Job summary

EPAM is seeking a Lead AI Solution Engineer to design scalable agentic architectures and RAG-powered pipelines that automate workflows and deliver actionable insights. You will work with cross-functional teams to move AI systems from design to production with governance and reliability in mind.

Responsibilities include building Python-based AI agents, creating retrieval pipelines, and establishing robust prompts and evaluation methods while aligning with enterprise security standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or AI/ML development
• Lead-level collaboration skills for guiding technical direction across teams
• Cross-functional project experience delivering AI solutions from prototype to production
• Strong Python skills for building agentic systems and RAG pipelines
• Solid knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns and retrieval design
• Hands-on experience with AI Agents Development, including persona-based behaviors
• Strong problem-solving skills in an agile delivery environment
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end AI solution architectures that combine agentic workflows with RAG
• Lead technical discovery and translate business needs into scalable AI roadmaps
• Build AI agents and orchestration logic in Python for workflow automation and decision support
• Develop retrieval pipelines, grounding strategies, and context management for RAG use cases
• Integrate AI components into production environments with reliability, security, and observability in mind
• Define prompt strategies and evaluation approaches to improve quality over time
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ship measurable AI capabilities
• Establish AI governance practices and ensure ethical, compliant development standards
• Coordinate development workflows to meet delivery commitments with US-hours overlap until 12 PM PST
