Levi Strauss & Co in Mexico seeks a Payroll Leader to oversee end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing across the region. The role collaborates with global stakeholders to standardize processes, manage vendor partnerships, and drive improvements in controls and efficiency.

You will coordinate changes to payroll systems, maintain codes and rules, develop documentation, and deliver analyses that support reporting requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Review and approve payroll prior to processing, ensuring accuracy, proper support, and timelines.
• Maintain payroll earnings and deduction codes, statutory calculation rules and payroll configuration requirements.
• Coordinate testing and implementation of payroll-related systems, legislative, process, and vendor changes.
• Translate business priorities, regulatory requirements into operational plans, processes, tools, and infrastructure for regional payroll objectives.
• Leverage payroll data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; conduct root cause analysis and prepare reports for internal and external reporting.
• Maintain knowledge of payroll-related laws, regulations, contracts, policies, audit standards, and fiscal practices across the region.
• Partner with third-party vendors to maintain statutory documentation and support audit inquiries and investigations.
• Develop and maintain roles and responsibilities documentation, standard operating procedures, and end-to-end payroll process documentation.

Review and approve payroll prior to processing, ensuring all transactions are accurate, properly supported, and completed within required timelines.

Translate business priorities, industry practices, and regulatory requirements into operational plans, processes, tools, and infrastructure that support regional payroll objectives.

3. Reporting and Analytics

Leverage payroll data to identify trends, issues, risks, and opportunities. Conduct root cause analysis and prepare reports to support internal and external reporting requirements.

4. Compliance Oversight

Maintain knowledge of payroll-related laws, regulations, contracts, policies, audit standards, and fiscal practices across the region.

5. Process Documentation

7. Change Leadership

Collaborate with local and global stakeholders to implement improved ways of working aligned with global processes and standardization.

8. Additional Duties

Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support the smooth, accurate, and compliant operation of the payroll function.
