Job summary

Aspen Technology in Mexico City seeks an experienced Senior Payroll Analyst to support accurate LATAM payroll operations across Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina. You will apply strong Mexico payroll expertise and broader LATAM knowledge to manage assigned activities and coordinate with employees, HR, Finance, Treasury, payroll providers, and other partners.

You’ll work with limited day-to-day instruction, lead defined payroll projects, and serve as a knowledgeable resource to the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Typically, 5–8 years of payroll experience with Mexico payroll focus.
• Knowledge of LATAM payroll practices (Brazil, Colombia, Argentina preferred).
• Experience with Workday; ADP/Oracle is preferred.
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English; Portuguese preferred or advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze payroll data.
• Ability to manage deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Experience with outsourced payroll providers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute LATAM payroll cycles across Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina.
• Validate inputs, reconcile events, and address variances and high-risk issues.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, Treasury, and payroll providers for cycle readiness.
• Prepare payroll accruals and assist with year-end reconciliations.
• Maintain payroll documentation and controls in line with policy.
• Lead defined payroll projects or workstreams with limited risk.
