Job summary

Tetra Pak in Latin America is seeking an experienced Communications Director to lead internal and external communications across LATAM, including Southern Cone, Andina, Central America, and Mexico. You will partner with market leaders, manage a small team and external agencies, and ensure communications initiatives deliver measurable outcomes aligned with global strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10–15 years of relevant communications experience, including senior leadership.
• Proven track record delivering communications in fast-paced international business.
• Excellent leadership capabilities, with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong business acumen and translating priorities into clear comms strategies.
• Experience managing senior stakeholders and providing trusted counsel to leaders.
• Experience coaching leaders through transformation and organisational change.
• Proactive, pragmatic, results-oriented approach with sound judgement.
• Ability to work across diverse teams, cultures and markets.
• Excellent English writing, public speaking and presentation skills; local languages preferred.
• Proficiency with AI and Power BI and familiarity with marketing automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal communications, reputation management and public relations; oversee marketing communications.
• Lead the annual communications planning process with inputs from strategy, marketing, sustainability and corporate affairs.
• Develop an integrated plan aligned with markets' priorities and global strategy.
• Drive implementation with high-quality delivery and measurable outcomes.
• Protect and strengthen the region's reputation through proactive PR and crisis preparedness.
• Lead crisis communications and coordinate responses during crises.
• Provide strategic comms counsel to Managing Directors across LATAM.
• Contribute to the Global Communications Leadership Team.
• Lead the regional function with focus on impact, agility, excellence and efficiency.
• Manage resources, agencies, budgets, tools and data, building a capable team.
