BRP is seeking a Laser Engineer to join the pre-fabrication area. The successful candidate will work under the Senior Engineer, implementing new products while respecting lean production processes.

Responsibilities include development, introduction and daily operation support of machine components, calibration, programming, and keeping tools and machines in optimal condition. Fluent English, experience in engineering and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing will be crucial.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree is required in Mechatronics, Mechanics, Industrial Engineering or Electro-Mechanic.
  • Three years of experience in Engineering.
  • Fluent English (oral and written).
  • Proficiency with 3D modeling software and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrics.
  • GD&T knowledge and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop manufacturable parts/components with R&D respecting equipment capability.
  • Assess and release manufacturing drawings.
  • Build, maintain and improve VSM.
  • Assess equipment requirements.
  • Design process and tooling for production meeting safety and quality standards.
  • Design transfer hooks and transfer carts.
  • Define hand tools requirements.
  • Create, deliver and update work instructions.
  • Maintain spare parts lists and preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Support daily operation.
  • Provide all information required in SAP and for PPAP.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing ideology.
  • Maintain machine workload capacity records and material flow charts.
  • Create and maintain an efficient Kanban area.
  • Perform safety-related activities.
  • Build P3, Pilot and Dry Run parts.
  • Participate in ISO 9001:2015 compliance.

General Summary

Experience And Education


  • Bachelor’s degree: Mechatronics, Mechanics, Industrial Engineering or Electro-Mechanic

  • Three years of experience in Engineering


Knowledge, Skills And Certifications


  • Fluent English (oral and written)

  • 3D Modeling Software

  • Six Sigma methodologies

  • Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrics knowledge.

  • GD&T knowledge

  • Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing: Material Flow, KanBan, 7 Wastes, FMEA, DFM, SMED, Problem Solving, 5S


Main Tasks And Responsibilities


  • Develop manufacturable Parts/Components with R&D respecting equipment capability

  • Asses and releases manufacture drawings

  • Built, maintain and improve VSM.

  • Assessing equipment requirements

  • Design process and tooling for production that meets safety and quality standards.

  • Design the transfer hooks & transfer carts.

  • Define hand tools Requirement

  • Create, deliver and up-date the work instructions

  • Make and maintain a list of spare parts and create a preventive maintenance schedule

  • Support daily operation

  • Provide all information required in SAP

  • Provide all information required for PPAP

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing Ideology

  • Create and maintain the workload capacity record of the machine

  • Create and maintain the material flow chart related with the machine

  • Create and maintain an efficient Kanban area

  • Performs activities related to safety.

  • Build the P3, Pilot and Dry Run parts.

  • Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the department supervisor.

  • Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) determined for their role in relation to the standard ISO9001: 2015.

  • Comply with safety rules according to the function.

  • Comply in time planned trainings related to Quality and Training.

  • Identify and report any quality and compliance issues and support corrective actions.
