BRP is seeking an Industrial Engineering Coordinator to optimize line configurations, improve safety and quality across processes, and drive continuous improvement. The role covers current operations, process changes, and implementation of new manufacturing processes, with a focus on Lean methods and cost optimization.

You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate ergonomics and workstation design, and support ISO 9001 and PFMEA initiatives.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree required in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of LEAN, PFMEA, ISO 9001 and safety standards.

Responsabilidades

  • Create a safe, organized work environment and reduce safety risks.
  • Coordinate IE activities for operations and projects, including workstation design and ergonomics.
  • Solve quality issues using PI/DMAIC methods and workshops.
  • Lead Health & Safety initiatives, ISO 9001 compliance, PFMEA, and risk analysis.
  • Develop IE team performance aligned with company objectives.
  • Drive new project work and industrialization of new models/lines.
  • Implement short- and long-term improvements in cost, efficiency, and processes.
  • Manage CAPEX/OPEX and enforce BRP policies.
  • Promote continuous improvement with Lean Manufacturing tools.

General Description

As an Industrial Engineering Coordinator, you will be responsible for determining the optimal line configuration and requirements to ensure maximum safety, quality, and efficiency across processes. This includes not only current operations but also process changes and the implementation of new manufacturing processes. Continuous improvement is a key aspect of the role and an integral part of daily activities.

As an Industrial Engineering Coordinator, you will be responsible for determining the optimal line configuration and requirements to ensure maximum safety, quality, and efficiency across processes. This includes not only current operations but also process changes and the implementation of new manufacturing processes. Continuous improvement is a key aspect of the role and an integral part of daily activities.

In addition, as a coordinator, you will be responsible for fostering a strong and positive work environment for your team members and the teams you collaborate with, ensuring that everyone contributes to a highly efficient organization.

Experience And Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering).
  • 5 years or more of experience related to the position.
Knowledge, Skills, And Certifications
  • Advanced English.
  • Computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, CATIA, Adobe).
  • Leadership and communication skills.
  • Layout design software (AutoCAD).
  • Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SAP and AVIX.
  • Knowledge of STPS NOM-006, NOM-026, NOM-027, and NOM-036 standards.
  • Ergonomic assessment methods (NIOSH, RULA, REBA, Suzanne Rodgers).
  • Risk assessments.
  • PFMEA.
  • Problem-solving techniques.
  • ISO knowledge.
  • Line balancing and time study development.
  • Lean tools (Standard Work, Kaizen, Kanban, 5S, Poka-Yoke, One Piece Flow, Model Mix).
  • Budget management and development (actual vs. budget and forecast).
  • Soft skills (Negotiation, Accountability, Analytical Thinking, Optimism, Creativity, Teamwork, Leadership, Change Management, Multiple Project Management, Priority Management, Detailed and High-Level Follow-up).
Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Create a clean and well-organized work environment that prevents accidents and reduces safety risks for our team.
  • Coordinate Industrial Engineering activities for operations and project development, including assembly process design, workstation design, and ergonomics.
  • Solve quality issues using problem-solving methodologies (PSP, DMAIC, Workshops).
  • Lead Engineering Department activities related to Health & Safety initiatives, ISO 9000, PFMEA, Balanced Scorecard objectives, and operational risk analysis.
  • Coordinate and develop the performance of the Industrial Engineering team in alignment with Success Factor objectives.
  • Coordinate Industrial Engineering activities related to the introduction of new projects (NPD strategies).
  • Implement short- and long-term improvements in HSE, PPQ, Process Efficiency, and Cost Reduction.
  • Lead and coordinate Capital and Operating Expenditures.
  • Enforce all BRP policies and administer disciplinary actions when required.
  • Lead the Efficiency Strategy for assembly processes through strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (Line Balancing, Kaizen, AVIX & VA/NVA, Yamazumi).
  • Ensure processes are robust enough to enable employees to manufacture high-quality vehicles that meet company standards.
  • Ensure processes maximize the VA/NVA ratio while considering workforce realities and leveraging state-of-the-art technologies.
  • Determine the best capacity strategy to optimize operational resources according to customer demand.
  • Lead the industrialization process for new models and production lines, as well as effective change management.
  • Ensure inclusive workstation design and implementation.
  • Support the team in problem-solving activities.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing principles (BRPMS).
  • Control departmental expenses to meet financial objectives (CAPEX/OPEX).
  • Complete all planned Quality and Training-related courses on time.
  • Identify and report quality and compliance issues and support corrective actions.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for each engineer through SMART goal implementation and PMP follow-up.
  • Provide a robust development plan for each engineer based on SWOT analysis.
  • Detect, manage, and communicate risks as a key responsibility. Actively participate in the development and maintenance of FMEAs to ensure proper implementation of risk-adapted countermeasures on assembly lines.
  • Ensure assigned projects are completed on time using PMO tools and standards.
  • Foster collaboration among departments by leading, developing, and training employees to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Identify and generate business opportunities by participating in plant strategic planning processes.
  • Collaborate enthusiastically in promoting BRP’s workplace culture by encouraging a winning attitude and participating in activities that support the company’s CSR philosophy.
  • Follow and promote BRP values and behaviors within the responsible team.
  • Ensure a safe work environment and assume full accountability for all safety-related matters.
  • Participate in maintaining compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) requirements related to ISO 9001:2015.
  • Apply BRP’s Quality Policy.
